Terms of Use

2026-08-21

Melmex is a self-custodial software interface for managing digital assets. By using Melmex you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Melmex.

1. What Melmex is — and is not

Melmex is software. It displays information from public blockchain networks and third-party data providers, and it prepares transactions that you alone approve and sign with keys that Melmex never holds.

Melmex is not a bank, exchange, broker, custodian, payment institution, or wallet provider holding funds on your behalf. Melmex never takes possession or control of your assets, never holds client money, and cannot execute any transaction without your explicit approval in your wallet.

Embedded wallet infrastructure is provided by Privy, Inc.; private keys are generated and secured on your device through that infrastructure. Swap routing is provided by 0x; market data by CoinGecko, DefiLlama and Alchemy. These third-party services have their own terms.

2. Self-custody and your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your wallet, your login methods, your recovery details, and every transaction you approve. If you lose access to your login or recovery methods, no one — including the operator of Melmex — can restore your assets.

You are responsible for verifying every address, amount, and network before approving a transaction. Blockchain transactions are irreversible: once confirmed, they cannot be cancelled, reversed, or refunded by anyone.

You agree to use Melmex only where it is lawful for you to do so, and in compliance with the laws that apply to you, including tax obligations arising from your digital-asset activity.

3. No advice

Nothing in Melmex — including prices, charts, token lists, routing results, or any other content — is investment, financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice, or a recommendation or solicitation of any kind. Information may be delayed, estimated, or inaccurate.

Token lists and routing results are technical outputs of third-party services and are not endorsements of any asset.

4. Fees

Blockchain networks charge fees that Melmex does not set, collect, or receive. Fee amounts shown in Melmex are estimates provided to help you decide; the network determines the final cost.

Melmex currently charges no service fee. If that changes, the fee will be clearly displayed before you approve any affected transaction.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Melmex for unlawful activity, including money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or fraud; nor may you attempt to interfere with, probe, or disrupt the service, its interfaces, or its providers.

The interface may be unavailable, rate-limited, or withdrawn at any time. Because Melmex never holds your assets, your assets remain fully under your control on the relevant networks regardless of the interface’s availability, and you can always access them with other standard tools.

6. Disclaimers and liability

Melmex is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of Melmex is not liable for any loss of digital assets, loss of profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the software — including losses caused by network congestion or failure, smart-contract behaviour, third-party service failures, incorrect data, phishing, or user error. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for intent or gross negligence.

7. Changes and contact

These terms may be updated; the effective date above always reflects the current version. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
